Monika has the life she always dreamed of: she’s a successful doctor and expecting a child in a happy relationship with Lukáš. But is she truly happy? When she unexpectedly reunites with her ex-husband Petr after years, her doubts deepen. A brief meeting turns into a long walk through a summer city, during which unanswered questions begin to surface: "Why did we actually break up back then?" and "What if we had made a different choice?" Through dialogue and gentle humor, we observe how a subtle closeness re-emerges between them in quiet moments - whether in the rain, on a tram, or in the park. Like thousands of other young women, San Kyi makes a living working in a garment factory in Yangon and increasingly dreams of escaping her exhausting daily routine and returning to the region her family originally comes from. She hopes to make the journey together with her co-worker and only close companion, Theint Theint Oo. Ingrid is a gynecologist at a district hospital in late 1980s Czechoslovakia, where her life unfolds in a comfortable, yet monotonous routine as she delivers babies, performs abortions, and conducts sterilizations – without her Roma patients' informed consent more often than not – believing all the while that she is acting in their best interest. However, when Agáta, a half-Roma orderly, joins the hospital staff, Ingrid's worldview begins to shift. As the two form an unexpected bond, Ingrid is forced to confront the unsettling truth: even the most noble intentions cannot justify the means.

This film is based on the true story of its protagonist. It follows Milan, a Roma man who was brutally attacked by neo-Nazis at the age of eighteen. Milan falls into a coma and experiences clinical death. During this near-death experience, he is visited by visions in which the Devil tempts him, while Jesus urges him never to seek revenge.

Today, Milan lives in the same town with his wife and two sons, working as a security guard. When he learns that Erik, one of his former attackers, is about to be released from prison, the trauma he has long carried resurfaces.
