Widowed Zdena lives a relatively peaceful life as a postwoman in the village. But it is definitely not easy. Her house is falling apart and she deals with her loneliness by eating cucumbers and watching TV. Her greatest joy is her son Lukáš. However, he lives in France, where he has reportedly found happiness and a great job. They only keep in touch through an old computer screen. To make matters worse, Zdena's mother Věra is dying in the hospital and her last wish is to see Czech singer Helena Vondráčková. Zdena begs her son to come and say goodbye to her grandmother before it is too late. Lukáš's visit sets off a series of events that reveal not only his secret life and the associated incognito of Chico Checo, but also Zdena's desire for a different life than what others expect.
