Gen Z shepherd Patrik finds a home on a remote Slovak sheep farm, where his search for family and belonging unfolds between TikTok, loneliness, absurd humour, care and control.
Twenty-five-year-old Patrik is a Gen Z shepherd. In the Slovak mountains, he tends sheep, scrolls TikTok, watches TV series, and talks to the flock when no one else is around. Raised without parents, between a children’s home and foster care, he finally finds a home with childless couple Peter and Veronika, who offer him work, shelter and become his surrogate family. But closeness brings control, blurring the line between care and financial dependence. Patrik transforms the traditional world of shepherding into a playful, absurd comedy where humour becomes a way of facing loneliness. Observational scenes mix with his raw video diaries and voice messages, creating an intimate portrait of a young man searching for closeness and belonging without losing himself.
