Winter 1627. Europe is torn by religious war. Protestant priest Jan Amos Comenius hides with his family from persecution, facing conversion or exile. He is called to Kristina, a sick girl who claims to have visions and hear voices. Expected to provide an explanation, Jan Amos instead confronts doubt and a crisis of faith. A fragile trust grows between the priest and the girl, whose images take on a meaning he cannot dismiss. After her father’s death, Jan Amos and his wife take Kristina into their care. When a Lutheran priest brings news from the battlefields, Jan Amos rejects a world ruled by violence. Kristina dies, yet her final awakening suggests something beyond our rational world. Forced into exile, Jan Amos leaves with his family, carrying this experience toward a new home.
