In a fairy tale anthology set in a dreamlike world, four characters must abandon what defines them to become who they truly wish to be.
A hypnotic merge of drama, anthological fairy-tale and a visual poem, The Land of Abandonment introduces a mysterious landscape, inhabited by four characters: The Girl with a Whip, The Dog with a Star, The Night Clown and The Knight. Each of them tells the story of one thing in their life that they had to let go of in order to discover who they truly want to be. Through the use of imaginative language, the film reflects on themes related to identity, self-discovery, overcoming trauma, or fear of rejection.
