Thirteen-year-old Mara arrives at a mountain sanatorium to treat her asthma. Surrounded by mist and forest, the institution cares for the body but forgets the soul - white tiles, cold water, and the rhythm of inhalers leave the children in quiet emptiness. When her new friend Jáchym disappears and the staff refuse to speak, Mara sets out to find him with the other children. As steam fills the corridors and the pipes begin to whisper, reality starts to fracture. The children uncover that the landscape itself remembers its wounds - and that deep within the mountains dwells Rýbrcoul, a spirit who has turned pain into power. To face the truth, Mara must confront a new kind of fear - one that will teach her to embrace both her fragility and the courage to grow up.
