When a beautiful young girl announces to her older boyfriend that she is leaving him, idyllic Sicily holiday turns into soul searching introspective journey for both of them, unravelling deeper issues of life’s fleeting nature. Shot entirely from perspective of the boyfriend, a writer who is trying to save their relationship, he must bare his not so beautiful soul as much as his girlfriend bares her oh so beautiful body. But in the end it is her who does the deepest soul searching and comes with a decision that will change their lives forever. Contemplation transience of life and puzzling complexity of human relationship, the film mixes subtle Czech humour with charming Sicilia settings into very personal, intimate confession of a writer searching for his midlife catharsis.
