Siblings retrace the journey of their parents, who hijacked a plane in 1970 to emigrate, leaving their family divided.
Three siblings embark on a summer journey from Germany to the former Czechoslovakia to come to terms with a decision their parents made that changed their lives forever. In 1970, their parents hijacked a plane to escape communist Czechoslovakia, leaving behind their one-year-old son Ruda. Today, Ruda reunites with his sister Stania, who was on board the plane as a child, and his younger brother Rudi, born years later from their father’s new relationship. Together, they revisit painful memories, each carrying a different perspective on the same story. Their journey is not a search for a single truth, but an attempt to reconnect broken relationships and find reconciliation. The film explores how deeply family trauma can reverberate across generations.
