“Green” influencer and filmmaker Prokop Pithart isn’t afraid to openly criticize institutions responsible for nature conservation. But theorizing online isn’t enough. He decides to restore a leased pond in the Třeboň Basin to nature and prove that sustainable management is possible. With his father, a hydrobiologist, and friends, he documents the journey. But nature plays by its own rules. The pond becomes overgrown with reeds, nearly dries up, and the first harvest brings little joy. Prokop loses faith in his efforts. Filming wildlife becomes his solace, revealing the complex relationships within this UNESCO-protected pond ecosystem. A family of ringed plovers nesting on the dry pond bed shows that nature can make use of any situation. Then water begins to flow again. What happens next?
