The wild absurdist comedy The Chosen One, inspired by Thomas Mann’s novel of the same name, follows the fate of a poor boy born out of forbidden love. His ambition and dreams propel him toward knighthood and royal glory, only for him to unknowingly marry his own mother, spend seventeen years chained to a rock, and, against all odds, become… the Pope! A cheeky story full of ambition, absurd twists, and ridiculously exaggerated turns of fate that transform a lonely teenager into an unforgettable legend.
