One of the most important logicians in modern history, Kurt Gödel, was born in Brno, yet he remains virtually unknown in his home country. He spent most of his life in the United States, where he became a close collaborator of Albert Einstein. He expanded on Einstein’s theory of relativity and demonstrated the possibility of time travel. Despite his extraordinary intellect, he was a man of a deeply fragile soul. In a short animated film, director Jan Cechl portrays the most significant logician since Aristotle, based on the visual designs of leading Czech artist Vendula Chalánková.
