Denisa Langrova
(1996, Czech Republic) works at a wildlife rescue station and in 2024 she completed her Master's degree in free art at UMPRUM in Prague. She is interested in the intersections of narratives of humans and other animals. She seeks resistance to oppressive structures in friendship, storytelling, humour, utopia and magic. She sees the personal as political and vice versa.
Although her works are often lucid and ironic, she also leaves room for imagination, freely combining real and fictional elements. She takes inspiration from the stories that come to her, fairy tales and myths, pop culture, history and folklore. Through art, she seeks a space for emotionality, irrationality and paradigm-breaking.
She enjoys using her experience in the art field in independent collectives, civic movements or non-profits. She is also the author of several educational workshops, panel discussions and other sharing formats at the intersection of art and education.
